Imperato on CNN’s Lou Dobbs
Boston – With Independents on the rise in his campaign, 2008 Independent Presidential Candidate spoke out on Lou Dobbs and the state of Independents in the US.
Imperato has long claimed that Dobbs has been following his campaign and indirectly reporting the Imperato message on several issues.
In his book, Independents Day: Awakening the American Spirit, Dobbs stated, “The greatest crisis in this country today is the fact that the American people are not being represented by their government.”
This message has been spoken by Imperato for many years.
“I’ve been saying for the last two years that we need government by we the people, for we the people. The fact is that special interests and corporate lobbyists have taken over Washington D.C. because once a candidate gets into office, they have to do all of the favors for all the contributions they got to their campaign.”
Imperato believes he can bring real change to Washington D.C. by not only being an independent and not subject to the special interests, but by listening to the people to give real solutions to real problems.
“Our current group of candidates has given us very good speeches on what’s wrong with America. But what are they going to do to fix it? America needs more than problems, we need solutions.”
Recently, Imperato spoke out in New Hampshire on Lou Dobbs and on the issues. While campaigning in Manchester, Imperato stated the following.
“The Democrats and Republicans have no real difference between them and offer no real change. Each candidate has their big healthcare plan, but how is America going to pay for it? If it were up to our candidates either our country would run deficit spending, or would just raise taxes. I find this to be unacceptable on behalf of the American people. As President I pledge to give real solutions to real problems, including healthcare which I have already publicly disclosed, because America now more than ever, needs leadership and not rhetoric.”
