Imperato Anticipating Bloomberg Endorsement

Offers to Debate Nader

Buoyed by Michael Bloomberg’s exit from the presidential contest, leading independent Daniel Imperato welcomed the possibility of an endorsement from the New York City Mayor.

Mr. Imperato has been running for nearly three years advocating a non-partisan, practical approach to solving the nation’s many ills including social security, healthcare and education. That has qualified him to earn both the trust and respect of many leading independents like Mayor Bloomberg, former Congressman Bob Barr and others that Imperato suggested would make great running mates for the November election.

A quote by Mayor Bloomberg suggests he is considering supporting a true, non-partisan independent: “If a candidate takes an independent, non-partisan approach – and embraces practical solutions that challenge party orthodoxy – I’ll join others in helping that candidate to win the White House.”

So Mr. Imperato is reaching out to Mayor Bloomberg once again to gain that support. The timing comes during the same week that Ralph Nader reentered the presidential race joining Imperato as the only other independent running. Imperato welcomed Nader’s entry and invite Mr. Nader to a debate. “Perhaps we can get Mayor Bloomberg to moderate,” Imperato suggested.

Imperato and Nader share very different views regarding Iraq. Imperato suggests the US quit spending our tax dollars in Iraq and begin extracting oil to repay the cost that we incurred to liberate them from the tyrannical rule of Saddam Hussein. Nader would keep pumping in US dollars arguing that we owe them after the invasion and occupation.

Imperato is also advocating smaller government and that is a direct opposite position than that of Mr. Nader. Imperato’s next scheduled campaign stop will be at the PA/NJ Libertarian event in Malvern, PA on March 14.
